Draft programme for Getting the public into public history conference (1-2 July) now available

Dear members

We are pleased to advise that the draft programme for PHANZA's 2011 conference on 1 and 2 July is now available. We have two days packed full of interesting content and activities, from our opening speaker - new National Librarian Bill Macnaught - to our final session, a panel discussion reflecting on changes in the field of public history since Going Public: the changing face of New Zealand history was published in 2001. Our aim was to develop a theme which lent itself well to the range of disciplines in which professional historians work. We are therefore happy to include papers from a diverse range of speakers, with contributors from the museum sector and archives, government agencies and community groups, New Zealand and overseas.

Please pass the programme on to anyone you think may be interested in attending. Registrations close on Wednesday 22 June.

Please find the conference registration form attached, in the current issue of Phanzine (just posted to members) or you can register online: https://eiconferences.massey.ac.nz/ei/getdemo.ei?id=47&s=_4AS0W38WX

Please send any queries to registrations@phanza.org.nz
